Chicago portrait photographer Mark Romine has been a professional photographer for over 20 years serving Chicago, Cook County, Bloomington, McLean County, Champaign County, Peoria County, Springfield, Sangamon County, Decatur and Macon county.

My goal in photography is to capture real life; candid, natural expressions and genuine emotions. I rarely use props or elaborate studio sets because I want the portrait session to be about the subject, as natural and relaxed as possible.
Your session may take place in our studio, at your home or some location nearby. Susan works with me during the portrait session and is able to assist with any questions you may have regarding clothing choices, etc. Sessions may last up to two hours. Especially for children, this allows plenty of time for them to get used to us, for snacks or for play time. This also helps to alleviate a rushed feeling.

Each photo "shoot" at Mark Romine's Studio actually entails three appointments!
At our first meeting which lasts approximately 30 minutes, we discuss your photography needs, locations, clothing and prop options. You'll have an opportunity to preview some of the wall portraits and other products that you may wish to purchase - there is of course no obligation!
Our second meeting is for your actual session. Most sessions are 1.5 but not exceeding two hours.
Our third meeting is your order viewing appointment. We start with a little slideshow preview of images and then you'll be able to view each image one by one (or side by side for comparison!) on a beautiful large screen. No detail will go unnoticed! You'll be able to pick your favorites and order the wall portraits and products!
